Session Summary: The ability of employees to retire is a hot topic among both public sector employees and employers. As public entities redesign their pension plans and move toward a shared risk approach or Hybrid plans, the readiness of employees to retire has become paramount. This session will examine various aspects of retirement plan design and the impact they have on retirement readiness. Also, we’ll analyze the indirect impact of employees not being prepared. Finally, we’ll provide strategies to improve employees’ retirement readiness.
