Session Summary: This session will review the theoretical underpinning for why a value premium should exist. Historical data will be presented on the performance of value stocks vs. growth stocks in the U.S. and outside of the U.S. Further, it will cover popular questions that arise around value investing, including valuation metrics and market environments. Instructors

Ross Hogan, CFA

Ross Hogan is a Regional Director with Dimensional Fund Advisors, a manager of equity and fixed income funds known for its systematic investment approach. He's responsible for developing and strengthening relationships with institutional investors in the southeast, including public funds, corporations, endowments and foundations. Prior to joining Dimensional in 2016, Ross worked for National Material Trading, LLC, an international iron and steel brokerage firm based in Chicago. Additionally, he spent five years in a national sales role with Bank of America’s institutional mortgage services group. Ross graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in finance. He earned his International MBA at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business. He is Series 7 and Series 63 licensed, and he is a CFA® charterholder. He is based in Charlotte, NC.
