Session Summary: In this session, we will look at what has been behind the substantial rise in inflation during 2020 and 2021. In addition, we will review some investment strategies and asset classes that have historically offered investors the opportunity to combat the effects of inflation in their portfolios.

Instructors

Jonathan Breth, CFP

Jon is a Senior Consultant with AndCo Consultingand has 22 years of investment consulting experience. He works extensively with plan sponsors supporting their defined benefit and defined contribution plans while also servicing several of the firm’s foundation and endowment clients. He serves his client base by optimizing investment portfolios, conducting investment manager due diligence reviews, selecting investment managers, developing investment policy guidelines, preparing performance-monitoring reports, and conducting trustee education on a wide range of investment topics. In addition to consulting, Jon also developed a substantial background in investment research working in various analytical research roles in both traditional equity and fixed income investment as well as hedge fund investing. Jon is a frequent speaker at educational and industry conferences in the southeast. Jon has attained a Bachelor of Arts, Business Administration, from Rhodes College as well as earning the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation.

As a GAPPT presenter, Jon has received information regarding educational instructional methods and adult learning processes.
